2006 North American Brass Band Championships

The Natural State Brass Band competed in the North American Brass Band Association (NABBA) Championships March 31-April 1, 2006, in Louisville, Kentucky. The band performed "The Kingdom Triumphant" by Eric Ball and "Aspects of Praise" by William Himes.

-"Very precise on the rhythm ... you've got the drama and majesty of the beginning, very well done."
-"I have had many a happy time blacking out at that moment." (climax of the piece)
-"This is a nicely-paced reading ... well done."

"Aspects of Praise"
-"This is a very fine tuba section." (1st movement)
-"The texture is very transparent ... good job of looking at the score." (2nd movement)
-"Good job, percussion, you led us into the band entry very well." (3rd movement)
